Match Recap — Sept. 17, 2025 • North Newton, Kan.

Final: Kansas Wesleyan 2, Bethel 0

Bethel men's soccer opened KCAC play at home on Wednesday night, ultimately falling 2–0 to Kansas Wesleyan. The Threshers matched the Coyotes in effort throughout, holding the visitors scoreless in the first half before conceding twice after the break.

The defense held strong through the opening 45 minutes, anchored by goalkeeper Kazimir Kromwijk, who finished with three saves across the 90 minutes. Ivan Vrankic and Andrija Vasic played key minutes on the back line, with Vasic also picking up a second-half caution as Bethel continued to press physically.

Offensively, Gabriel Okita generated much of the Threshers' pressure, tallying three shots with two on target. Branden Balvanz and Aden Braggs also recorded attempts, while Brandon Chung and Diego Martinez provided energy in the midfield. Bethel finished with four total shots, forcing two saves from the KWU goalkeeper.

Despite the result, the performance showed Bethel's growth as the team begins conference play, keeping the match close until the 74th minute before KWU added insurance ten minutes later.
