Bethel Opens Season at JK Gold Classic

Threshers compete against a deep field hosted by Wichita State with multiple runners making their collegiate debuts.

Women's Race (5K)

Bethany Schrag led the Thresher women, finishing 49th overall with a time of 20:50.22. She was followed by Adah Hodge in 75th at 22:17.70 and Taryn Paulino, who crossed in 23:35.90 for 89th. Freshman Ariana Cerda rounded out Bethel's scoring in 107th with a 26:17.83. Emma Graber and Sydney Hart started the race but did not finish.

Men's Race (6K)

The men's team was paced by Asa Johnson and Marcus Fiedler, who finished just a second apart in 66th (20:41.89) and 67th (20:42.13). David Ultreras placed 84th in 21:13.26, followed by Braylon Hunnell in 105th at 21:50.03. Zane Basler (108th, 21:58.19) and Gavin Gishi (112th, 22:01.24) stayed close behind. Bryce Williams clocked 22:32.00 for 121st, and Ethan Wilcox rounded out the Bethel contingent in 138th at 24:19.58.
