WICHITA, Kan. — Bethel lost to Friends 9-0 on Saturday night. The Threshers put three of their five shots on goal but were outshot 24-5.
Friends had built a seven-goal advantage by the time Bethel faced one of its busier defensive stretches in the second half. The Threshers kept that sequence from adding to the margin, working through six Friends attacking actions that included four shots and two corner kicks. The same portion of the half included three Bethel yellow cards, matching its full-match yellow-card total.
Bethel generated a late attacking spell while trailing by eight, earning three corner kicks in a short stretch, though no shot follow-up was recorded from that set-piece sequence. Friends finished with a 24-5 advantage in shots and put 15 attempts on goal, while the Threshers placed three of their five shots on frame.
Diego Medina made six saves for Bethel, and
Esnayder Garcia supplied two of Bethel's shots, both on goal.
