Bethel Dance Captures KCAC Championship in York

YORK, Neb. — The Bethel College dance team claimed the KCAC Competitive Dance Championship on Saturday in York, Nebraska, finishing first in a tightly contested field and securing the conference title with a final score of 82.0525.

Bethel entered the finals with momentum after posting the top preliminary score of 81.46, narrowly leading Kansas Wesleyan (79.54) and Friends (79.42). The Threshers improved their score in the finals round, delivering a strong performance that held off both Kansas Wesleyan (80.29) and Friends (80.26) to secure the championship.

The victory marks a major milestone for the program and reflects the team's steady growth throughout the season.

Head coach Kiley McCord credited the team's chemistry and commitment for the championship performance.

"It was an amazing experience. We have come so far and I'm so proud of them! They have learned so much from each other by putting trust in the team and the process. It felt good to have all the work pay off."

Earlier this season, the Threshers also set a new program record for highest team score, continuing to build momentum heading into the conference championship meet.

With the championship victory, Bethel has officially punched its ticket to the NAIA National Dance Championships, scheduled for March 27–28 in Topeka, Kansas.
