HESSTON, Kan. — Bethel (KS) (0-1-0) fell to Hesston College (1-0-0) with a final score of 3-2 on Thursday at Sieber Field. The Threshers managed to score two second-half goals, but Hesston College's first-half lead proved decisive.
First Half
- Hesston College gained an early advantage with a goal by Santiago Llanos at 2:10, assisted by Jaiden Trevelyan.
- Jaiden Trevelyan extended the Larks' lead to 2-0 with a goal at 7:13, assisted by Jayden Chaiyote.
- The Threshers struggled to capitalize on their opportunities, with
Emilio Acevedo's shot being saved by Luis Jimenez at 10:16.
- Despite multiple attempts, including a shot by
Jarron Williams saved by Luis Jimenez at 42:11, Bethel trailed 2-0 at the end of the half.
Second Half
- Hesston College took the lead with a penalty kick goal by Alexander Radu at 49:37, marking his first goal of the season.
- Bethel responded quickly at 51:26 when
Connell Silmon scored, assisted by
Nathan Guijon, reducing the deficit to 3-1.

Erwin Navarro found the net for the Threshers at 75:21, closing the gap to 3-2.
Navarro scored once and had one of his two shots on goal. Silmon also found the net, scoring with his only shot on goal of the match. Guijon contributed an assist, with his single shot on goal adding pressure to the opposition.
Diego Medina, in goal, recorded five saves, facing eight shots over the course of the match.
Bethel will host Central Christian on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 12:30 p.m. in North Newton, Kan.
