MCPHERSON, Kan. — Bethel lost to No. 21 McPherson, 73-0, in their first road contest of the season.
First Quarter
- Bethel was held scoreless in the first quarter while the Bulldogs scored on two touchdown drives, covering 88 and 71 yards.

Brady Norman helped Bethel move the ball through the air, completing three passes to Kenyon McMillan for gains of 13, 11, and 5 yards on the opening drive.
- Bethel reached the Bulldogs' 28 after Norman's 44-yard completion to Jimmy Martin, but a fumble recovered at the Bulldogs' 29 ended the possession.
Second Quarter
- The Bulldogs outscored the Threshers 14-0 in the second quarter, scoring on a 38-yard run and an 11-yard touchdown pass to go into halftime ahead 28-0.
- Bethel reached McPherson's 1 on Norman's 23-yard completion to Kenyon McMillan to open the quarter, but the play ended with a fumble recovered by the Bulldogs in the end zone for a touchback.
- The Thresher defense kept one short-field Bulldogs drive off the board when a 33-yard field-goal attempt missed after the Bulldogs began at the Bethel 36.
- The Bulldogs recorded two sacks in the quarter, and Bethel's next two drives after the turnover ended in punts from its own 8 and 25.
Third Quarter
- Bethel gave up touchdown runs of 60 and 38 yards to Jalil Brown, while the Bulldogs also scored on a 19-yard touchdown pass and a 20-yard field goal.
- Bethel had two interceptions in the final 3:30, and the Bulldogs turned both ensuing short-field possessions into touchdowns.

- The Bulldogs scored their fourth-quarter points on three rushing touchdowns, including runs of 11, 7, and 59 yards, with a 50-yard run preceding the 7-yard score.
