Joseph Kotz is joining Coach Mathis’ staff coaching running backs.  Prior to joining the Bethel staff, Kotz played four years at Central College in Pella, Iowa.  In Kotz’s time at Central, the Dutchmen had one conference title, two runners up, and one third place finish and a playoff birth.  Kotz played quarterback and slot receiver his first three years before being moved to the defensive side of the ball out of necessity as a senior.  Coach Kotz, follows in the coaching footsteps of his father who coached 35 years in all divisions from high school to NCAA Division 1.

Kotz Earned his BS in Psychology and plans to attend graduate school to attain a masters in Sports and Performance Psychology.
