Jami is a 2010 graduate of Friends University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
During her time at Friends, Minnick was a member of the Falcon's Track and Field Program. Her events she competed in were the pentathlons, heptathlons, the 100m and 400m hurdles, triple jump, long jump, 4x400m relay and the 200m dash. Minnick earned the KCAC Conference Freshman of the Year honors. Jami also spent one season competing for the Shockers at Wichita State University.
After graduation, Minnick began coaching fastpitch right away and has spent the past 12 years as a pitching coach.
Minnick is currently the owner of the Kansas Blue Sox, a club softball organization. She currently works with approximately 40 girls ranging in age from 7-20. Jami has also coached every age group in the club world ranging from 8u to 18u.
Jami played fastpitch for 14 years growing up and was primarily a pitcher. When she was not in the circle, she was usually behind the plate or in the infield.
In her senior year of high school, Minnick was the Powerlifting Overall State Champion.
Jami currently resides in Wichita, Kan. with her husband and three children.
