NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – The Bethel College Men's Soccer team looked put together another win streak as they took on the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes Wednesday evening inside Thresher Stadium. Unfortunately for the Threshers, they came out on the wrong side of a 3-1 result.
Bethel got the scoring started in the 20
th minute after the Thresher attack put a large amount of pressure on the Coyote defense.
Lucas Pardo knocked the ball away from a defender in the direction on
Juan Nicoletti. Nicoletti then back heeled the ball back to Pardo who drove it to the edge of the box before blasting his shot past the keeper for the goal.
Eleven minutes before halftime, the Coyotes tied the contest 1-1.
Kansas Wesleyan added to their lead early in the first half before extending it even more in the 85
th minute on their way to a 3-1 win over Bethel.
Thresher goalkeeper,
Sean Holness, finished the contest with 10 saves in his first game back from injury.
The Threshers will be back in action on Saturday, October 23
rd as they travel to take on the Sterling Warriors with first kick set for 3:30 PM.
