STERLING, Kan. - The Bethel Thresher Women's Soccer team looked to snap their four-game losing skid against the Sterling Warriors on Saturday afternoon.
Grace Anderson and
Claire Hedlund made sure that the Threshers were going to do just that as they scored two goals a piece in Bethel's 4-0 victory over Sterling.
Grace Anderson got the scoring started for the contest in the 4th minute.
Sydney Brown received a ball in the middle of the box from
Claire Hedlund. Brown, passed the ball back through a few defenders to Anderson who beat the keeper to the far post.
Anderson recorded her second goal with a header off of a set piece from a corner kick by Brown.
With the Threshers leading 2-0, Hedlund got in on the scoring when
Izzy Saenz put the ball into the box in a place where Hedlund could one touch it passed the keeper, exactly what she did.
Hedlund added to the Bethel lead in the 60th minute when she volleyed a pass from
Ashtin Duerksen into the net giving the Threshers a 4-0 lead.
The Threshers will be back at home on October 27th as they take on Tabor College at 5:00 PM for Senior Night.
