WICHITA, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Basketball team started their three game road trip against the Friends Falcons on Tuesday evening. The Threshers trailed by a point at half time, but struggled to slow the Falcons down in the second half as Friends pulled away for a 77-59 victory.

Bethel found themselves trailing by six points after the end of one quarter of play, 14-8, behind six points from Troi Lucas. The Threhsers came out of the break ready to play. In the final ten minutes of the opening half, Bethel was able to close the gap, outscoring Friends 17-12. Jasmine Peete provided a spark off the bench for the Threshers as she led the way in the quarter with 8 points. Peete hit the boards hard in the quarter pulling in four boards, two of them on the offensive end. Josie Calzonetti added in seven points in the second quarter.

Bethel struggled to slow down the Friends offense in the second half as they were outscored by 17 points between the two quarters. Lucas would put up 12 second half points for the Threshers to lead all scorers for the contest.
