OTTAWA, Kan. - The no. 25 Bethel College Men's Basketball team was back on the road Saturday afternoon for the fourth time out of their last five games. After trailing by double-digits at half time, the Thresher offense came alive in the second half scoring 56 points as Bethel took down Ottawa 86-81.
Despite
Clifford Byrd II leading all scorers at halftime, the Threshers trailed the Braves by 13, 43-30. Bethel shot just 38% from the floor in the opening half, while Ottawa shot over 54% including 53% from three point range.
In the second half, the script nearly flipped. The Threshers shot 56% from the floor and 57% percent from three point range while the Braves were held to just 35% from the floor in the half. After scoring just two points in the first half,
Jaylon Scott came alive in the final 20 minutes of play to finish with 21 points. Byrd II picked up where he left off in the first half to lead all scorers with 23 points.
