NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – The Bethel College Women's Soccer team hosted the Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggies to open their 2021 season inside Thresher Stadium. The Threshers would pull away in the second half on their way to a 2-0 victory.

Both BC and OPSU found opportunities to get on the board in the first half, although neither would capitalize.

The Threshers would come out in the second half scoring a goal in just under three minutes. Sydney Brown would play a ball into the box to Katy Ponce who would beat the Aggie goalkeeper to break the 0-0 tie.

Twelve minutes later Brown would pick up her second assist of the night on a beautiful thru ball to Claire Hedlund who would out race the defender and beat the goalkeeper to put the Threshers up 2-0.
Bethel would have several strong scoring chances that would be saved by the Aggie keeper.

The Threshers will be back in action on August 24^th as they host Newman in a scrimmage inside Thresher Stadium at 7:00 PM
