ATCHINSON, Kan. - The Thresher Women's Soccer team hit the road Saturday evening to take on the #25 ranked Benedictine Ravens. Bethel would fall to Benedictine 4-0.
The Ravens would jump out to a lead in the 18th minute. Benedictine would get their second goal on an own goal from the Threshers. The Ravens would have a free-kick that they would put into the box. A Bethel defender would attempt to head the ball out of bounds, but it would end up in the back of the net. Benedictine would take a 3-0 lead into the half after adding a penalty kick goal late in the first half.
The Ravens would add in their final goal nine minutes into the second half to take a 4-0 lead. The Threshers would record all 4 of their shots in the second half.Â
Victoria Esquivel would get the start in goal for the Threshers and go the distance on her way to recording 13 saves in the contest.Â
The Threshers will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 11th at 10:30 am as they host Central Christian.
