Volleyball Goes 2-2 at the KCAC Fall Fling

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Bethel Volleyball team opened up 2021 play this past weekend as they participated in the KCAC Fall Fling. The Threshers would go 2-2 on the weekend.
 
In their first match on Friday, the Threshers would fall 3-0 to Oklahoma Panhandle State. Madelyn Baxter would lead the Threshers with 10 Kills. Mia Roman and Katey Wilhelm finished with 10 digs a piece.
 
Bethel would end Friday on a positive note as they would take down Peru State 3-1. The Threshers were led by Mia Loganbill with 16 kills and Katey Wilhelm with 23 digs. Jordan Boone and Harlie Hunton would finish the contest with 4 blocks a piece as Loganbill would add in 3.
 
They would keep their positive momentum going with a 3-2 victory over University of the Southwest on Saturday morning. Bethel would take the first two sets, before dropping the next two and eventually winning set five 15-9. Kaitlyn Shima would finish the contest leading both sides in assists with 24.
 
The Threshers would drop their final contest of the opening weekend to Hastings by a score of 3-1. Wilhelm would lead all players in digs as she tallied 18.
 
Bethel will be back in action this Wednesday, August 25th as they travel to take on the Central Christian Tigers at 7:00 PM.
