PERU, Neb. - The Bethel Volleyball team opened up the Bobcat Classic hosted by Peru State against the Dakota State Trojans. The Threshers would fall in the three sets to the Trojans.
The first set would be a back and forth affair until tied 10-10 when the Trojans would rattle off five straight points. The Threshers would battle back to trail 16-15, but the Dakota State would be able to hold them off to take the first set 25-20.Â
The Trojans would start the second set with six straight points and would never look back as they would take the set 25-11.Â
Mia Loganbill and
Jensen Roth would get the Threshers out to a 3-0 lead to open up the third set. The Trojans would respond with eight straight points with the four of the first five points coming on Bethel errors. The Trojans would keep pulling away after answering the Bethel hot start as they would end up taking the final set 25-10.
Loganbill finished the match as the only Thresher with double-digit kills with 10.
Julie Wilhite would lead the match with 4.0 blocks for Bethel.
Katey Wilhelm led the Threshers with 14 digs in the match.
The Threshers will be back in action tomorrow Sept. 11th as they take on Mayville State at 11:00 am and Presentation College at 1:00 PM.
