PERU, Neb. - On Saturday, the Bethel Volleyball team would finish out their schedule for the Bobcat Classic hosted by Peru State. The Threshers would take on the Mayville State Comets at 11:00 am and the Presentation Saints at 1:00 PM. Bethel would drop both matches with scores of 3-0. 
 
In the first game of the day, Bethel would start the first set out well. They would lead or trail by a few points until trailing 15-14 when the Comets would go on a run to close out the Threshers 25-17. Bethel would score the first three points of the second set, but Mayville St. would rip off six in a row to take the lead. The Comets would be able to hold off runs by the Threshers to take set two 25-18. Mayville state would control the third set and close Bethel out with a 25-14 to take the match 3-0.
 
In their second game of the day, the Threshers would start out well in the first set against the Presentation Saints. Neither team would get much separation from the other until the Saints hit the 20-point mark. The Saints would close out the first set against the Threshers on a 5-2 run. The second set would be all Presentation as they would take the set 25-13. Both teams would start the third set battling back and forth similar to the first set. Errors would doom the Threshers late in the set as the Saints would the set 25-19 and the match 3-0. 
 
The Thresher Volleyball team will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 15th as they host Sterling and Mid-American Christian for a triangular beginning at 4:00 PM.
