NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Soccer team opened up KCAC Conference play against York College on Saturday afternoon.
Colton Rothwell and the Thresher defense would earn a clean sheet on their way to a 3-0 victory over the Panthers.

Juan Nicoletti would get the scoring started early in the contest as he would score in the fourth minute assisted by
Mussawir Ahmed.Â

Bethel would add to their lead when
Juan Volker would kick a ball into the box that would bounce over the Panther goalkeeper's head and
Louis Etienne would finish off the play by kicking it just past the line before the keeper could keep it out.Â

In the 86th minute, the Threshers would extend their lead to 3-0 when
Tomas Espinoza would receive a cross from
Azahrias Ali and he would beat the Panther keeper for his first goal of the season.

Juan Demichelis would score the final goal of the night for the Threshers to put them up 4-0. Demichelis would receive a ball from Etienne and volley the ball to himself while turning around and blasting a ball past the York goalkeeper.Â

The Threshers will be back on the pitch on Wednesday, September 22nd as they travel to take on Avila with kick-off set for 1:00 PM.
