WICHITA, Kan. - The Thresher Men's Soccer team looked to keep their 5 game winning streak alive as they travels south down I-135 to take on the Friends Falcons. Bethel would fall behind early and the Falcons would never look back as they would take the contest 5-1.
Â
The Falcons would get on the board in just the seventh minute to end
Colton Rothwell's scoreless streak at 290 minutes. Friends would add another goal from Castillo just eleven minutes later and would take a 3-0 lead in the 30th minute.
Â
Trailing 3-0,
Muhamed Jammeh would get fouled in the box to earn the Threshers a penalty kick and a chance to cut into the falcon lead.
Lucas Pardo would take the PK. The Falcon keeper would guess right, but Pardo would squeeze it just past his outreached arms. The contest would go into the intermission 3-1.
Â
Friends would tack on two more goals in the second half from Castillo who would finish with 4 goals and an assist on the night.
Â
The Threshers will be back in action on Wednesday Oct. 6th as they head the other direction on I-135 to take on McPherson.
