Nicoletti's Two Goals Help Threshers Roll Past (RV) Eagles

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel Men's Soccer team returned home from their three-game road trip to play inside Thresher Stadium for the first time this season on Wednesday night as they took on the Southwestern Christian Eagles, who received votes in the latest NAIA Men's Soccer Poll. The Threshers would take a 1-0 lead early in the first half on their way to a 3-1 victory over the (RV) Eagles.

Juan Nicoletti would put the Threshers on the board early in the first half when he would score a 9th-minute goal on a long through ball from Juan Demichelis.

Five minutes into the second half, Cristobal Goldberg would add to the Bethel lead on a free-kick from the top of the box that he would blast through the defensive wall and past the keeper giving the Threshers a 2-0 lead.

After the Eagles would cut the BC lead in half in the 67th minute, Nicoletti would find the back of the net for the second time on the night in the 73rd minute to put Bethel up 3-1.

The Threshers would take 5 shots in the contest with all 5 on goal. Colton Rothwell would get the start in goal for the Threshers and go all 90 minutes totaling 6 saves on the contest.
