KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Bethel College Women's Basketball team took to the road to face off with the Avila Eagles as they finished off their first go round of KCAC play. A low scoring, turnover ridden first half put the Threshers behind big early as they were never able to recover, falling to the Eagles 78-45.
Bethel struggled early on in the contest spotting the Eagles with an early 9-0 advantage. The Threshers coughed up the ball 15 times in the opening half on their way to trailing the Eagles 38-22 at the break.
The turnover struggles continued for BC in the second half as they gave up the ball 12 more times. Avila took advantage of the Thresher miscues as they were able to balloon their lead to as much as 33 points late in the contest.
