Road woes continue for Threshers against Swedes as they fall 77-56

LINDSBORG, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Basketball team started it's second round of KCAC play Thursday night as they took on the Bethany Swedes. After a close opening 20 minutes, the Thresher defense slumped in the final two quarters as they gave up 41 second half points to the Swedes in the 77-56 loss. 

Josie Stupey showed out with a strong opening half for the second game in a row, tying her career high 11 points that she set in the Threshers' previous contest. Troi Lucas poured in 8 points of her own in the opening half.

Coming out of the break, Bethel was unable to get much going in the third quarter as they were held to just 11 points on 3 of 12 shooting. BC picked it up in the fourth quarter scoring 17 points, their highest total in the contest.

The Threshers shot 35.6% compared to the Swedes 45.6% in the contest.

The Threshers lost the points in the paint battle 18-28 to the Eagles.

Josie Stupey set a career high with 14 points, besting her 11 points she set in the Threshers previous contest.
