NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Basketball team hosted the Friends Falcons Wednesday night inside Thresher Gym. The Threshers fell short of completing the comeback as they couldn't get a three to fall late as the Falcons left with a 70-67 victory.
After a slow first quarter from both teams, Bethel outscored Friends 17-10 in the second quarter to take a 28-23 lead into the intermission.
Kendall Michalski led all scorers at the break with 12 points.
Coming out of the break, the Threshers had a lapse on the defensive end as they allowed the Falcons to score 20 points to their 12 points. Bethel shot just 22 percent from the field in the final 10 minutes in the loss.
