NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Basketball team looked to extend their winning streak to 12 as they hosted the McPherson College Bulldogs on Monday evening. The Threshers controlled the game from the tip as they obtained the lead on their first possession and never relinquished it on their way to a 78-62 victory.
The first half was all
Tavaughn Flowers as the senior guard finished the opening 20 minutes with 16 points on 6 of 11 shooting to lead all scorers. Bethel took their largest lead of the opening period into the break as they led McPherson by 14, 44-30. BC closed out the half on a 20-8 run.
Bethel's lead got below 10 points just twice in the second half as the Bulldogs made a mini run, but the Threshers responded immediately with 18-5 run that stretched the span of five minutes before both teams emptied their benches.Â
