BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - The Bethel College Women's Basketball team traveled across state lines to take on the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles on Thursday night. Despite trailing by three points in the third quarter, Bethel was unable to hold off Oklahoma Wesleyan in the second half as they fell 82-53.

The Threshers started the contest slow as the Eagles jumped out to a 6-0 lead. Bethel was able to cut the lead to three points before Oklahoma Wesleyan finished the quarter on a 12-2 run. In the second quarter, the Threshers were able to get the game back to just a two-point deficit before the Eagles stretched the lead back to six to close out the quarter, 23-17.

Bethel struggled defensively coming out of the break as they gave up their second 20 point quarter in the contest. In the fourth quarter, Oklahoma Wesleyan started to pour it on as they were able to stretch out their lead to as much as 30 points in the quarter.Â
