NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Basketball team squared off with the Ottawa Braves in hopes of advancing their 13 game winning streak. After falling behind big early in the second half, the Threshers weren't able to fully complete the comeback as the Braves held them off for a 76-71 victory.
The Threshers started the opening half slow, making just 13 of 37 shots from the floor including 3 of 14 from three point range. The Braves had two players in double-digits after the opening 20 minutes, both shooting 50% or better as they took a 41-34 lead into the break.
Bethel came out of the break slow once again as Ottawa was able to build their lead to as much as 17 points five minutes into the half. BC started to chip away at the lead on their way to eventually tying the contest at 65. Bethel had a chance to tie the game late in second half, but the shot came up just short as the Braves took a 76-71 victory in Thresher Gym.

After being so close to a triple-double in each of the last five contests,
Jaylon Scott achieved the illusive feat. He finished the loss with 26 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists and 6 steals.
