NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Soccer team looked to move to .500 in KCAC play as they took on the McPherson College Bulldogs. Bethel scored an early goal and kept a clean sheet defensively as they took down McPherson 1-0.

Jaime Guardado opened up the scoring for the contest in the 16th minute following some excellent passing fro the Thresher attack,Â
Lucas Pardo had the final pass in the sequence.

Neither teams scored for the remaining of the opening 45 minutes as Bethel took a 1-0 lead into the intermission.Â

Both teams had great opportunities in the second half, but neither were able to capitalize on them.Â

Guardado's lone goal proved to be the game winning goal.
Thresher keeperÂ
Gustavo Infante turned in two saves in the clean sheet win.

Bethel was outshot in the contest 11(2)-7(5).

The Threshers will be back in action on Wednesday, October 5th as they take on the Southwestern Moundbuilders with kickoff set for 7:30 PM.
