HILLSBORO, Kan. - The Bethel College Volleyball team traveled North to take on the Tabor Bluejays on their senior night. After dropping the first set, the Threshers finished the Bluejays off winning the next three sets.
Bethel dropped the opening set 25-21 as the Tabor Bluejays had a player record 10 kills in the opening set.
Kylah Carter turned in 6 kills in the set to lead the Bethel offense.
The Threshers got their feet back under them in the second set as they evened the match 1-1. In the game, Bethel was able to slow down the Bluejays big swinger and limit their errors as they took the tight set 26-24.
In the third game, Bethel was able to take more control of the contest as they were able to control the scoring from the jump. Bethel led for much of the match, only trailing 12-11 halfway through the set. Tabor had 14 errors in the set.
The fourth game saw Bethel become even more in command only allowing the Bluejays to score 14 points. The Threshers forced the Bluejays into 14 errors once again in the 25-14 match clinching set victory.
Jordan Boone led the Bethel attack recording 10 kills in the win.
Kaitlyn Shima and
Mia Roman both turned in double-digit assists with Shima recording 19 and Roman 14.
Katey Wilhelm recorded 28 digs in the win.
The Threshers will be back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 11th as they host Ottawa at 7:00 PM.
