OTTAWA, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Basketball team looked for their second KCAC Conference win of the season after leading 29-28 at the half. Unfortunately for the Threshers, the Braves outscored them 29-22 in the final 20 minutes to take the 57-51 victory.
The Threshers used a trio of three point scorers to take the 17-13 advantage after the opening frame as
Caryn Yoder,
Carley Robb and
Josie Stupey all had three points in the quarter.
Jasmine Peete carried the Threshers in the second quarter scoring six of her team high 15 points.
After the Thresher took the 29-28 lead into the break, the Braves came out in the third quarter and outscored Bethel by two points to take the one point, 42-41, lead. Both teams traded leads to begin the fourth quarter until the game became tied at 48. From this point on, the Braves had control of the scoreboard. The Threshers were able to keep it a two possession game and had opportunities at the end to make a run.

The Threshers were unable to slow down Ottawa's Nicole Brown as she led all players in nearly every category finishing with 23 points, 16 rebounds and 7 blocks.

22 of Bethel's 51 points came inside the painted area.
Six Threshers scored in the loss, two in double figures as Yoder joined Peete.
Bethel lost the narrow rebounding margine 48-46 to the Braves.
The Threshers shot just 24.7% from the field, while the Braves were at 36.2%.
Bethel committed just 12 turnovers to Ottawa's 20.
