Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's Basketball takes out frustrations on Sterling as they roll to 112-71 victory

STERLING, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Basketball team took on the 2-24, 0-20 Sterling Warriors looking to right the ship after back to back tough losses. Right the ship is exactly what the Threshers did as they cruised to a 112-71 victory behind Harper Jonas' record tying 9 made three point baskets.

The Threshers mixed up their starting lineup for the contest as they looked to press the tempo early. They were successful in doing that as they led by 14 points, 22-8, after just over six minutes of play. Harper Jonas turned in a monster first half performance knocking down a school record eight first half threes, missing just his final attempt on his way to putting up 26 points. Bethel scored 60 first half points, their highest total in a half this season.

In the second half, the Threshers were able to pick up right where they left off. They were able to score 52 points in the second half despite emptying their bench less than halfway through the final 20 minute period. Waking up their shooting and getting some players going should aid the Threshers as they make a run at an NAIA National Tournament berth.
