Mocaby and Scott lead Threshers to 87-66 win over Bluejays

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Basketball team looked to build off of their big victory over Sterling as they took on the Tabor College Bluejays inside Thresher Gym on Wednesday evening. Bryant Mocaby went 5 for 8 from three point range, while Jaylon Scott had another big game for the Threshers as they took down the Bluejays 87-66. 

Bethel started the contest off pushing the tempo and putting pressure on Tabor. After the score was 4-4, the Threshers went on a 17-5 run to take the lead for good. Bethel was able to build their lead up to as much as 21 late in the first half, but Tabor closed out the opening 20 minutes by cutting the lead down to 14, 48-34.

In the first 10 minutes of the second half, Bethel was able to hold Tabor to just 9 total points as they built up their lead to 69-43. The next five minutes were a different story as Tabor outscored Bethel 15-7 to force Bethel to put their starters back in the contest. Bethel was able to push their lead back up to 21 with their backups in the game as they went on to win 87-66.
