MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Bethel College Women's Track and Field team took to Missouri this weekend for the Bearcat Open hosted by Northwest Missouri State University. The Threshers best finishes came from the legs of freshman jumper
Karsen Dunham and junior
Stephany Meyer as they claimed a top 20 finish in the triple jump.
Laiya Palmer ran her 60 meter dash in 8 seconds flat.
Alexandra Mendoza ran a 10.9 in the 60 meter hurdles. Mendoza was the second leg of the 4x400 meter relay team that ran a time of 4:23.99.
Stephany Meyer ran the 400 meter in a time of 1:02.81. Meyer was the opener for the 4x400 meter squad. In the triple jump, Meyer finished 20th, one spot behind Dunham, with a distance of 10.28.
Natalie Graber ran the 5000 meter in a time of 21:03.71 to finish 28th breaking the school record set in 2019 by nearly two and a half minutes.Graber was the anchor to the 4x400 meter squad.
Mia Roman was the third leg to the 4x400 meter squad.
In the long jump, Dunham recorded a distance of 4.79 meters. Her distance of 10.31 meters was good enough for 19th place in the triple jump.
In the weight throw,
Kalyn Corley recorded a distance of 13.24 meters.
