Box Score 2 NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Tennis team hit the road to Missouri for non-conference matchups with Missouri Baptist and #16 Williams Woods and an exhibition match with Lindenwood.
In the Threshers first match of the road trip they took on the Spartans on Missouri Baptist. After dropping the doubles point, the Threshers fell in #1, #2 and #3 singles to finish the match before the bottom three singles matches could finish.
Saturday's contest was an exhibition match against the Lions of Lindenwood.
In the final match of the three day Missouri trip, the Threshers took on the #16 ranked William Woods Owls. Bethel dropped all three doubles matches to give up the point. At #1 singles,
Michael Cech picked up the lone win for the Threshers on the day with a 1-6, 6-3, 11-9 victory over Ben Grumley, who is ranked in singles.
Milan Bucek picked up the 6-2 win in his first set before dropping the next two 6-3 and 10-5.
The Threshers will be back on the court on Wednesday, March 16th as they travel to Seward Neb. to take on the Concordia Bulldogs at 11:00 AM.
