WINFIELD, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Track and Field team participated in the Jinx Invite hosted by Southwestern College. The Threshers finished 8th as a team led by a first place finish in the long jump by freshman
Karsen Dunham.
Dunham recorded a mark of 5.02m to finish 1st in the long jump by .40 meters.
Stephany Meyer finished 4th with a distance of 4.65m.
Kalyn Corley was the Threshers lone thrower in the invite. Her best finish came in the hammer throw where she finished 5th with a mark of 42.78m. Corley finished 7th in the javelin with a distance of 33.72m and 14th in discus with a distance of 31.49m.Â
Natalie Graber finished 10th in the 1500m with a time of 5:26.56.
Aubry Grame finished 5th in the 100m hurdles with a 17.00.
Alexandra Mendoza finished 7th with a time of 18.35.
Laiya Palmer finished 8th in the 100m with a time of 12.98. Meyer finished 18th with a time of 13.49.
In the 400m hurdles, Grame finished 3rd with a time of 1:09.21. While Mendoza finished 5th with a time of 1:13.10.
Meyer, Dunham and
Mia Roman ran in the 200m. Meyer finished 7th with a time of 27.29. Dunham ran a 28.60 to finish 18th, while Roman ran a 28.60 to finish 20th.
The 4x100m team of Grame, Meyer, Roman and Palmer finished 2nd with a time of 50.72.
The Threshers will be back in action on Friday and Saturday April 1st and 2nd at the Friends Invite in Wichita, Kan.Â
