WICHITA, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Track and Field team took part in the KT Woodman Invite hosted by Wichita State that included nearly every school in the state of Kansas from the NJCAA, NAIA, NCAA DII and NCAA DI.
Karsen Dunham posted a personal best mark of 11.52m, beating her previous best by nearly a foot. She hit the NAIA B Standard, but unfortunately an illegal wind reading made her distance not a qualifying distance. The Freshman turned in the best mark by an NAIA Student-Athlete in the meet while finishing 9th overall.
Kalyn Corley was the lone thrower for the Threshers as she turned in a distance of 41.96m to finish 18th in the Hammer Throw and 33.00m to finish 22nd in the Javelin.
In the 1500m
Natalie Graber finished 58th with a time of 5:24.41.
In the 400 meters,
Stephany Meyer finished 35th with a time of 1:02.02 and
Mia Roman finished 37th with a time of 1:02.68.
Alexandra Mendoza ran the 100 meter hurdles in 17.58 to finish 30th overall. In the 400 meter hurdles, Mendoza finished 25th with a time of 1:13.67.
Meyer and Roman both ran the 200 meters with Meyer running it in 27.09 to finish 59th and Roman finishing 73rd with a time of 28.02.
The Threshers will be back in action this Friday, April 15th as they host the Bethel Invite with field events beginning at 10 am and track events at 11 am.
