BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - The Bethel College Men's Tennis team took the trip south to Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles on Saturday afternoon. The Threshers won the doubles point and four of the six singles matches as they took the match 5-2.
Michael Cech and
Milan Bucek dropped their doubles match 7-5, just the pairs fifth loss of the season.
Nolan Schrader and
Jordan Singh put together a strong performance in the #2 position as they picked up the 6-0 victory.
Tomas Quercia and
Joaquin Pluis won the #3 match 6-3 to give the Threshers the 1-0 advantage heading into singles.Â
Cech lost his singles match to the Eagles Catala in the #1 position 6-3, 7-5. Bucek picked up the 6-2, 6-1 win at #2. Schrader fell at #3 6-2, 6-4. Bethel won the remaining matches beginning with Quercia as he picked up the 6-1, 6-3 victory. Pluis won with a pair of 6-0 set victories before Singh picked up the 6-2, 6-1 victory to finish off play.Â
The Threshers will take on Washburn in an exhibition match on Wednesday, April 20th before finishing out KCAC play on April 23rd with first serve scheduled for 10 AM.
