NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Softball team hosted the Ottawa Braves for their second to last home KCAC doubleheader. The Threshers fell behind big early in both contests as they lost game one 12-2 and game two 10-0.
GAME 1, L 12-2
The first four innings of the contest were all Braves as they scored a run in each of the first four frames and multiple runs in the second, third and fourth innings. Trailing 8-0, the Threshers needed a run ot avoid the run rule coming into effect. They were able to do just that as Peyton Uznanksi singled up the middle with runners on the corners scoring
Dakota Piovesan. Ottawa took advantage of the extra at bats as they put up four runs in the sixth inning to put the pressure on Bethel again. The Threshers once again answered with a run
Lauren Hurd singled to right field scoring
Lynzi Myrick. Bethel would not get the score any closer as the Braves took the contest 12-2. Both teams stranded 9 runners on the base paths in the contest.

Dakota Piovesan - 1/2, R, BB
GAME 2, L 10-0
The Braves held on to a 3-0 lead after the opening frame and never looked back as they put up three or more runs in every other inning. The Threshers were unable to get much of anything going at all in the contest as they had just one batter reach base in the contest.

The Threshers will be back in action on Tuesday, April 26th as they host Bethany College for their Senior Day.
