WICHITA, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Track and Field team took part in the two day Friends University Spring Open this past weekend. The Threshers finished 13th out of 27th as a team.
Aubry Grame and
Alexandra Mendoza both ran in the 100 meters hurdles with Grame turning in a time of 16.91 and Mendoza a time of 18.09 with both missing the finals heat.
Grame finished 7th in the 400 meters hurdles with a time of 1:08.88 while Mendoza finished 17th with a time of 1:14.20.
Natalie Graber finished the 3000 meters steeplechase in a career best 12:34.80, besting her previous mark by 23 seconds.
Lynnzey Young finished the 5000 meters walk in 3rd place with a time of 39:53.93.
Karsen Dunham and
Stephany Meyer participated in the long jump with Dunham finishing 14th and Meyer 16th. Dunham turned in a distance of 5.15 meters and Meyer a distance of 5.14 meters.
Dunham and Meyer both took part in the triple jump as well with Dunham finishing 9th(10.89 meters) and Meyer 14th (10.53 meters).Â
Kalyn Corley was the Threshers lone thrower in the meet as she participated in three throwing events. The juniors bet finish came in the javelin where she turned in a mark of 35.09 meters to finish in 5th place. Her second best finish came in the hammer throw where she finished 7th with a mark of 41.61 meters. In the shot put Corley finished 28th with a distance of 9.57 meters.
