WINFIELD, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Track and Field team took part in the Southwestern Relays for their last competition before the KCAC Outdoor Championships. The Threshers turned in 12 top 10 finishes in the competition.

In the 100m, Laiya Palmer missed qualifying for the finals by two spots as she finished 10th with a time of 12.63. Stephany Meyer finished 25th with a time of 13.18.

Palmer ran a 26.35 to finish 8th in the 200m, while Meyer finished 23rd after running a 27.74. Karsen Dunham also ran in the race turning in a 29th place with a time of 28.69.

Mia Roman ran the 800m in 2:32.36 to finish 4th. She also finished 5th in the high jump with a mark of 1.44m.

In the 100m hurdles, Aubry Grame ran a time of 16.53 to finish in 3rd while Alexandra Mendoza finished 6th with a time of 17.62.

Mendoza also ran in the 400m hurdles and finished 6th there as well with a time of 1:13.35.

Meyer finished 8th in the long jump with a mark of 5.00m while Dunham finished 12th with a best mark of 4.75m. In the triple jump, Dunham finished 8th with a mark of 10.39m.

Kalyn Corley turned in her best finish of the meet in the discus where she finished 9th with a mark of 33.68m. She finished 17th in the shot put with a best mark of 9.65m.

The 4x100m relay team of Grame, Palmer, Roman and Meyer finished 5th with a time of 51.01. The team also ran in the 4x400m where they finished 3rd with a time of 4:27.41.

The Threshers will be back in action on Thursday, May 5th and Friday, May 6th for the KCAC Outdoor Championships back in Winfield.
