WAXAHACHIE, Texas - The Bethel College Women's Soccer team opened up their 2022 campaign in Texas against Southwestern Assemblies of God. The Threshers gave up three second half goals to the Lions dropping the contest 4-1.

Southwestern Assemblies of God got the scoring started in the 19th minute. 

Claire Hedlund answered back for Bethel in the 28th minute assisted by Katy Ponce. 

Following the intermission, the Lions took the lead back 50th minute.

Grace Anderson leveled the match in the 70th minute to tie the match 2-2.

The Lions scored a goal in the 79th and 81st minutes to take a 4-2 lead.

The Threshers will be back in action tomorrow, Sunday, August 28th at 12:00 PM as they finish off their Texas road trip against Texas Wesleyan in Fort Worth.
