FORT WORTH, Texas - The Bethel College Women's Soccer team finished off their two game road trip in Texas on Sunday afternoon as they took on Texas Wesleyan. The Threshers gave up three second half goals on their way to a 5-3 defeat.
The Rams got the scoring started in the 22nd minute with an unassisted goal. They grew their lead to 2-0 in the 43rd minute.
Bethel was able to cut the lead in half just before the intermission as
Grace Anderson found the back of the net for the second time this season.
Less than five minutes out of the break, the Threshers were able to even the match 2-2 when
Ashley SaJous scored her first of two goals on the afternoon.
Texas Wesleyan responded with three unanswered goals, including an own goal by BC.
SaJous turned in her second goal in the 82nd minute to cut the Rams lead to 5-3, the eventual final score.
Bethel was out-shot by Texas Wesleyan 30 to 15 with the Rams getting 18 shots on goal.
The Threshers will be back in action on Tuesday, August 30th at 5:00 PM as they take on the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma at Threshers Stadium.
