NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Soccer team hosted the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma for their home opener on Tuesday evening. The Threshers fell behind early and were never able to catch back up as the Drovers pulled away for a 4-1 victory.
Science and Arts Oklahoma opened the scoring in the 26th minute on an unassisted goal.
The Drovers pushed their lead to two nine minutes later in the contest.
After taking a 2-0 lead into the intermission, USAO was able to keep the pressure on the Threshers adding another goal in the 59th minute to stretch their lead to 3-0.Â
Science and Arts of Oklahoma scored their fourth goal of the contest in the 65th minute taking a 4-0 lead.
Bethel was able to get on the board in the 90th minute as
Claire Hedlund found the back of the net off of a pass from
Madison Bliss.
The Threshers will be back in action on Monday, September 5th as they travel to Columbia, Mo. to take on Stephens College with kick-off set for 11:00 AM.
