Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer sets multiple records in 13-0 route of Ecclesia

SPRIGNDALE, Ark. - The Bethel College Women's Soccer team took to Arkansas as they traveled to take on the Ecclesia College Royals for their final non-conference contest before KCAC play begins. The Threshers set multiple school and individual records as they cruised to a 13-0 route of the Royals.

Claire Hedlund was the story of the contest for the Threshers, netting 8 goals and assisting on two more.

Bethel found the back of the net nine times in the opening 45 minutes, five from the foot of Hedlund. Sydney Brown, who scored the opening goal, had a goal and two assists in the first halt. Katy Ponce found the back of the net as well. Grace Anderson and Lexia Vincenti added in first half goals as well, with Anderson having three assists.

The second half opened up with Hedlund scoring the next three goals, one assisted by Ashtin Duerksen, one by Taylor Dashney and one unassisted. Lexia Vincenti scored the record breaking 13th goal for Bethel to cap the scoring for the contest, assisted by Sydney Brown.

Unfortunately there was no one at the contest taking stats nor filming, so the only accurate stats in the box score are goals and assists.
