LINDSBORG, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Soccer team continued KCAC Conference play as they took on the Bethany Swedes. After giving up an early goal the Threshers were able to find an equalizer right before the half, but the Swedes proved to be too much in the final half as they took the match 3-1.
Bethany opened the scoring in the match just under ten minutes in when they were able to beat the Threshers defense and sneak one by Bethel's keeper
Gustavo Infante.
Bethel found its equalizer late in the opening period when
Juan Demichelis found the back of the net assisted by
Lucas Pardo and
Adalsteinn Kristinsson.
The two teams entered the intermission at a 1-1 tie.
In the final 45 minutes the Swedes proved to be too much for the Threshers despite being out-shot 14(5) to 12(7).Â
Bethany turned in goals in the 66th and 80th minute as they took the contest 3-1.
Bethel will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 24th as they host the Friends Falcons for a 1:30 PM start inside Thresher Stadium.
