NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Soccer team took on the Friends Falcons Saturday morning in a jam packed day at Thresher Stadium. The Threshers gave up a goal in each half as they fell to the Falcons 2-0.
The Falcons opened the scoring in the 16th minute, when Natalie Amaya found the back of the net. Bethel's leading scorer
Claire Hedlund had multiple good looks in the opening 45, but was unable to capitalize and beat the Falcon keeper.
The Threshers were unable to get a shot on goal in the second half with all four of their shots ending up off frame. Friends added to their lead in the 68th minute with a header.
Bethel was out-shot 13(7) to 7(2).
BC will be back in action on Saturday, October 1 as they host McPherson College at 5:00 PM continuing KCAC play.
