NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's soccer team hosted the Oklahoma City Stars for a non-conference matchup. The Threshers held a two goal lead late in the contest, but were unable to hold on as OCU score two late goals.
Kelsie Kreutzer got the scoring started in the 40th minute when
Jazlyn Reese made a beautiful pass to the senior forward who found the back of the net.
After BC took a 1-0 lead into the intermission, the Stars got it going early with a goal just one minute into the final 45 minutes, tying the contest.

Claire Hedlund would be the story for the Threshers in the second half as they combined for two goals just three minutes apart giving Bethel a 3-1 lead.
OCU got back on the scoreboard in the 78th minute and tied the contest in the 84th minute.
Both teams had ample opportunities in the final six minutes to take the lead, but neither team was able to capitalize on their opportunity.
Oklahoma City out-shot Bethel 17(10) to 10(6) in the tie.
Bethel will be back on the pitch on Saturday, Sept. 10th as they travel to Arkansas as they take on Ecclesia College.
