BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - After both teams were even in the opening half, Bethel was outscored by three points in the second half as they fell 63-60.
The Threshers led by two after one quarter of play as
Jasmine Peete and
Caryn Yoder combined for 13 of Bethel's 17 points.
Bethel had their largest lead of the contest early in the second quarter when they led by seven points. Oklahoma Wesleyan outscored Bethel by two points in the quarter to even up the contest heading into the intermission.
Halfway through the third quarter OKWU was able to build up the largest lead for either team of nine points, 39-30. The Threshers closed out the quarter on a 15-8 run getting within two as the two squads entered the final ten minutes of play.
The Eagles were able to build their lead back up to seven points early in the final frame. The Threshers tried to rally back, but were not able to get closer than two points as they fell 63-60.
