NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - Despite a slip up in the second set, the Bethel College volleyball team won their twelfth straight contest as they beat the McPherson Bulldogs 3-1.
The Threshers dropped just their fifth total set during their winning streak, first in KCAC play, as they won the contest 26-24, 18-25, 25-16, 25-20.
As a team, Bethel hit over .260 in every set other than the second. The Threshers hit .210 as a team and were led in kills by
Kylah Carter, who finished with 11 hitting .222.
Kate Eichelberger led the Threshers in hitting percentage as she finished hitting .500, recording 4 kills on 6 attempts with one error.Â
Six hitters for the Threshers recorded kills in the contest, all tallying more than four apiece.
As an offense, the Threshers committed just 19 attacking errors to the Bulldogs 28.
Kaitlyn Shima recorded 26 of Bethel's 41 assists during the contest as she commanded the Threshers' offense.
The Threshers shined at the net once again defensively as they tallied 10 blocks as a team.
Darla Crow added five more to her nation leading block total giving her 135 for the season.

Alayna Vines each finished with 4 total blocks.

Katey Wilhelm held down the back row for Bethel as she recorded a team-high 23 digs in the victory.
The Threshers will be back in action on October 7th, as they host the Evangel Valor for their first matchup as KCAC foes. First serve is set for 1:00 PM inside Thresher Gym.
