SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - After holding a 3-1 lead at halftime, the Bethel College women's soccer team finished in a 4-4 draw with Evangel University.
Ashley SaJous got the scoring started in the 13th minute, assisted by
Taylor Dashney.Â
Following a Valor equalizer, Dashney scored a goal of her own, unassisted.
Evangel found another equalizer in the 31st minute.
SaJous scored her team leading 9th goal of the season in the 42nd minute to give Bethel the 3-2 lead after 45 minutes of play.
Evangel scored the first two goals of the second half to take their first lead of the contest after 66 minutes.
In the 75th minute,
Briseis Gomez tied the contest, scoring the games final goal. Gomez's goal was assisted by Dashney.
The Threshers were outshot in both halves as Evangel took 26(11) shots to Bethel's 10(4).
Bethel will be back in action on Wednesday, October 11th as they host the Tabor Bluejays at Thresher Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 5:00 PM.
