NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College men's basketball dropped their home opener to Peru State, 88-73. Both of these squads finished their 2022-23 season in Jamestown, N.D. in the NAIA National Tournament.

The Threshers were able to keep it close in the first half despite the Bobcats shooting 50% from three in the opening 20 mintues of play.

Bethel turned the ball over just four times in the opening half to Peru State's 9, but trailed the Bobcats by seven at the intermission 40-33.

PSC shot over 60 percent from the field in the second half as they built their lead as high as 21 points. The Threshers turned in one of their better shooting halves of the season shooting over 44 percent from the floor and 40 percent from three while missing just one free throw.
